Where You Can Find Arad Israel

Arad Israel is found in the South District of Israel and is bordered by Negev as well as the Judean Desert. Found just 15 miles west of the Dead Sea and 28 miles from the city of Beersheba. You can bet that you will find a diverse population which includes the Sephardi Jews as well as the black Hebrews. Not only will you find these people here but you will also come across new immigrants who have come to enjoy the clean, dry air that is best found to assist in daily living for asthmatics from around the globe.


When Was Arad Israel Founded?

Once attempts had been made to found the area in the 1920’s, the city of Arad was founded officially in November of 1962. This city was amongst the first planned cities in Israel today and the population grew drastically when it became part of the Commonwealth of Independent States early on in 1990 but first peaked in 2002 with more than 24,000 residents.

The ruins of Tel Arad are found here as well as Arad Park. The first legit race circuit found here and the city hosts a summer music festival each year. If you are looking for a place to hike and a more ecological place to visit, Arad Israel is amongst the more popular places.




Neighboring Places

People who come to visit Masada will find themselves staying in Arad which is one of the closest urban settlements and will provide the one and only accesses to the western side. When it comes to the hotel area, the outskirts of Arad will feature a giant white monument that was established in 1968 that is known as the Mitzpe Mo’av which displays a great view of the Judean Desert. The National Trail is going to pass through the city of Arad and take you in between the Mount Kina and Tel Arad national park. When hiking and biking for your trip, the areas of Zohar Lookout and Zohar Peak are some of the more common destinations for biking and hiking. These places are not found directly within Arad but are close enough to be visited when in Arad Israel.
