Treated Diamonds

Treated diamonds are authentic diamonds that have been enhanced in order to make them look better. This unique process is a great way to improve this favorite gem prior to purchase. While some jewelers do not prefer the process of creating a treated diamond, others believe this is a great way to create a unique and beautiful piece whether it be an engagement ring, wedding ring, etc.

Clarity and Color

One of the processes that treated diamonds can go through is a laser procedure that helps improve the overall clarity and color of a diamond. This process will reduce any visible imperfections. The overall color and clarity being improved upon can increase the grade of a diamond; increasing its overall value. A plain clear diamond can even be changed by adding a color to it.

Cracks

A special diamond sealant can be applied to this gem to fill in any cracks that are present that may be ruining the overall appearance of the diamond. While this diamond would potentially have to be discarded by a jeweler, treated diamonds can be used for many instances.

Women's Jewelry

Treated diamonds are useful for creating a piece of jewelry such as a necklace or bracelet that requires a number of different diamonds in it. This piece could become quite expensive after the search for many perfect, natural diamonds takes place.

Treated diamonds are usually very affordable because they can be improved and then sold in much larger quantities. A perfect diamond, untreated, is sometimes hard to find. This is especially true the larger the diamond gets. Without becoming a treated diamond, these products would usually be hard to sell and would not make much profit. This is a great way for jewelers to make profit.
